Vezyri Zacharoula is a PhD candidate in the Department of Social Policy at the Democritus University of Thrace. Her doctoral research explores how elder care is structured, regulated, and delivered in Greece, through the lens of Marxist theory and critical feminist approaches, with a focus on social reproduction processes and the political economy of care.She holds a Master’s degree in Social and Historical Anthropology from the Department of Social Anthropology and History at the University of the Aegean. She has several years of experience providing psychosocial support to people on the move, having worked in Idomeni, Thessaloniki, and Mytilene.
